![]() Cutting to the chase: Today, July 31st around 1:30 PM I experienced the worst customer service from the moment I walked into the facility. She is definitely the one you will want to speak with while utilizing this facility. Big shoutout to Kaitlyn for her assistance. Needless to say I have been coming here as a guest with my S/O for the past 10 months and the staff have been nothing but awesome and friendly. Very disappointed in my visit today at this location. Like I said, previous to these employees the staff was awesome (especially Kaitlyn)! I have followed up with copperate and hopefully there will be a friendly, attentive new staff in the near future. Unfortunately, this situation could've been handled a better way but as they say there is always room for improvement. He also threatened to terminate my boyfriends membership who was only a bystander. Moments later words spurred between the three of us. The conversation with Russel accomplished nothing and he was absolutely no help. ![]() As I didn't like being spoken to the way I was I asked to speak to a manager, Russel. Madison was definitely new but definitely had a MAJOR attitude issue. I would recommend not charging unhappy customers who want to leave a fee that is costlier than the monthly membership. The final $37 convenience fee was the straw that broke the camel's back, leading me to write this review and say what I really think. The salesman-like culture of the staff, lack of cleanliness of the gym, and inaccessibility to the functional fitness room all contributed to my decision. There really was no one big occurrence that lead to my cancellation. If that's something you intend on utilizing I recommend finding out what hours it's closed. Personally, I was excited about the functional fitness room, but it was closed most afternoons when I was there after work. That was weeks ago and my understanding is that it's in the same state.Ĥ - They do have several workout options (weight room, functional fitness and machines) but they're not all open at certain times. A manger responded with excuses regarding their staffing and provided no solution. My girlfriend complained to the staff on numerous occasions about how filthy the women's restroom was. Maybe I was, but that's still a very tacky deterrent to keep members.ģ - It's not very clean. I had staff members walk up to me in the weight room wanting to talk to me about my workout and my routine.Ģ - The price is right, but if you want to cancel there's a $37 fee. If you think the promotional phone calls and text messages are annoying, they continue that approach inside the gym. Here are a few things you should know.ġ - The staff's culture is incredibly salesman like, even after you've joined. We have the exact list you won't find anywhere else.I was incredibly unhappy with my experience at Fitness Connection in Cary. Check out the summary of gym chains below. Finally, chains like Anytime Fitness and Planet Fitness-on the more inexpensive $9.99 and $19.99 spectrum-don't offer childcare as it's an expensive amenity that would drive up monthly membership costs. These are chains like Crunch, Chuze, EoS, Gold's and VASA, and previously 24 Hour Fitness. Mid-priced gym options ($30 to $50+ monthly) also offer childcare, as they have a larger square-footage footprint to accommodate the dedicated kid-space.They are Bay Club, Life Time and Equinox, and these gyms absolutely offer childcare as part of their fitness-as-a-lifestyle approach.
